This is a reminder that Burr Oak Schools will be dismissing at 11:30 Monday as it is a scheduled half day of school.

When should I keep my child home from school?
Following are some tips to consider when wondering if you should keep your child home or send them to school:
A fever over 100.4 fahrenheit can be contagious. Send them back when they have been fever free for 20 to 24 hours without medication.
Vomiting and diarrhea - send them back when they have been free from symptoms for 20 to 24 hours.
Excessive coughing - this is how germs spread quickly. Keep them home and/or take to a doctor if it persists.
Lice: Live bugs keep home.
Tips - Check often, wash clothing in hot water, dry on high heat. Put cloth items in garbage bags, seal up, and let sit for several days (or longer if possible).
Pull nits out of hair and put in a soapy vinegar or bleach water. (hot water is best)

Reminder. Because of the holiday, Burr Oak Schools will be closed on Friday, August 31 and Monday September 3. See you on Tuesday.

Please be patient as we implement our all school lunch program. We are working to get the correct numbers each morning.
