
The power is back on! Keeping students.

Due to a power outage, we are cancelling for the rest of the day. We will release students in approximately fifteen minutes. There will be one bus route. All calls will divert to Mrs. Owens' cell. Staff will remain on site until all students have been picked up. The eighth grade exit interviews are cancelled for tonight.

The American Legion, Department of Michigan
Attention: Skilled Trade Educators and Students
The American Legion, Department of Michigan, is excited to announce a brand new scholarship for 2024. Please be sure to pass this information along to any educator/student who may assist us in finding students who will benefit from this scholarship.
The American Legion Skilled Trades Scholarship aims to provide annual scholarships to deserving individuals – aged 17-21 years old – who are pursuing a construction/building, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or energy career either in a post-high school trades training/apprenticeship or earning a 2-year college degree in any of the areas listed above where the student would be certified at the state or federal level.
Scholarship Award Amount: 2-year $1,000 scholarship. $1,000 awarded each year.
Number of scholarships awarded per year: Two(2) scholarships to be awarded in 2024.
Qualifications of the applicant:
- Must be a Michigan resident.
- Applicant should be between the ages of 17 and 21 at the time of application.
- Applicant must be pursuing a skilled trades career through post-high school trades training/apprenticeship OR through a 2-year college degree in a skilled trade.
- It is preferred that the applicant be a descendant of a veteran but it is not required.
Scholarship would apply to the following costs:
- Money for tools, specialized clothing, gear, or safety equipment.
- Money for fees and expenses at a post-secondary skilled trades school training or apprenticeship.
- Money for fees and expenses at a 2-year college skilled trades program.
Applications are available below and are due no later than April 5th, 2024
